Overview
Think of it as the engine that quietly runs the boring-but-critical paperwork on big construction projects. It's a distributed Python system (FastAPI on Google Cloud) that replaced an off-the-shelf tool called Workato, giving the team much finer control over how automated workflows fire and scale. It plugs straight into Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) — when someone on-site fills out a form, the system catches it, does the heavy lifting, and spits out the right document or notification without anyone touching a spreadsheet. Under the hood it's built like a little factory: webhooks come in, get packaged as "banana orders," and get handed off to worker services that each know how to run a specific recipe — generate this report, extract that data, send this email.
Purpose
Construction teams drown in repetitive documentation — inspection reports, daily diaries, safety audits, compliance paperwork. This platform takes that off their plate. Instead of paying for a rigid third-party automation tool, the team got a tailor-made system they fully control, one that bends to exactly how their projects actually work.
Impact
It turns a form tapped out on a phone at a job site into a finished, formatted report in seconds — no manual copy-paste, no version chaos, no waiting on the office. It runs continuously across multiple regions and projects, handling the unglamorous work reliably so engineers can spend their time with more important things instead of writing about building things.
